Quick report
Started out at 9am, and the snow seemed light. By the time we got to Lake Valhalla at 11am, the snow had gotten heavier and stickier. There was intermittent precipitation that was mainly a mix of snow and freezing rain. By noon, there was significant rollerball activity below rocks on steep slopes on S and W aspects. Returning to the car at 1:30pm, it was raining at 3500ft.
Avalanche
A naturally triggered wet loose avalanche slid around noon on a W aspect of Lichtenberg Mountain West Peak at about 5000ft, below the rocks and cliffs above the Lake Valhalla outlet.
