Quick report
The first few miles up until 5000-5500' are a few inches of fluffy pow... on gravel. Past that, the machine abuse lessens and you can remove the earplugs.
If you can stand the price of admission, sheltered spots in the lower parts of the meadows hold up to a foot of soft snow and cool temps should keep it fun all week. Deadfall/low tide remains a hazard.

It was a gorgeous blue day with light winds out of the south. Temps warmed midday but surface snow remained cold/dry even on southerlies.
Snowpack
Cold temps overnight kept settlement minimal. Surface snow stayed soft, F hard and the 12/26 crust was supportable to snowmachines. Boots could punch through the crust however, sometimes to thigh deep. At 6400' E, the mid-pack between the 12/26 and 12/28 crusts was 4F hard, HS88. The average height of snow on Flagstaff ridge was 80-100cm or 2.5-3.5'.
