Did a quick hand pit around 7400’ on a NE slope. Height of snow 110 cm
Snowpack structure: Top 30 cm - Fist to four finger hardness slab, right side up. Appeared to be new storm snow.
30-55cm down: facet, melt freeze crusts combos
No formal instability tests, but hand shear with moderate force, Q1, 55 cms down.
