It was warm with moderate wind speeds at treeline. The snow was wet.
Snowpack
We climbed a southeast facing ridge. The snow there was very wet. It didn't feel like it froze last night. We observed some cracking and collapsing of the weak, isothermal snow. However, when we crossed over into a northeast facing aspect the snow was softer and it felt more stable. We didn't observe any signs of instability on the sheltered slopes. We did not dig a snow pit.
