Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

We observed a handful of recent large natural avalanches on Titus Ridge that were previously reported, and we triggered one audible collapse at ~9400’ on a NW aspect in a very protected little pocket. We found variable surface conditions such as thick creamy snow, wind board, and sun crusts despite mostly keeping to relatively sheltered, low angle shady slopes. Pretty mediocre sliding conditions given the decent sized storm less than 72 hours ago! At least the weather was lovely! Warm enough for comfortable lounging on rocks with a light brisk breeze blowing from the WNW.
