Light snow and valley fog. Moderate temperatures stayed below freezing even at 3,000ft.

Snowpack

The snowpack is shallow in this part of the range. We found HS 90-120cm throughout the tour. 5-7cm of settled recent storm snow sits on a thin, zipper crust that disappears around 5,500ft. The crust is more pronounced below 4,300ft. Old crusty tree bombs and frozen rollerballs were more notable at similar low elevations. Generally, the recent snow was well-bonded.

At a profile site at NNE, 5405ft. Summary: Propagating test results on early January facets in the middle of the snowpack. No results on December melt form/facets. See attached images.
