Quick report
The highway access is easy and straight forward right now and the snow line is staying around the Whitney junction.
A nice spring treat with 6-8" new snow in Gold Hill that was cold and somewhat dry on the north side of the compass. The sunny side held pretty well, but the strong spring sun was heating up due east this morning with just minor roller balls. The ticket was too find the right slope angle where the new snow would not sluff on the hard crust underneath.

- <p>The new snow got it's first hit of direct sun today and no real natural wet activity. If you disturbed the snow on steeper terrain it would sluff and slide quite easily on the underlying hard slick old snow surface. Lower angle slopes seemed to be the ticket. </p>
Finding about 6-8" in Gold Hill and word on the street is something closer to 10" up the highway near Mirror Lake. The new snow held up quite well with the air temps and a nice northeast breeze staying a little on the cool side and no wet issues that got out of hand. I did not see any south facing terrain today where the snow could have been more affected by the sun. I only experienced minor roller balls on due east this morning before moving onto a slightly cooler aspect.
