Snowpack

Instability Comment

Started the up and over Cardiff Pass noting the significant wind that was prescient. Later we dug on a western aspect along the powerline ridge. We found the snowpack was 135cm deep with a graupel layer about 70-75 cm down. We believe this to be evidence from the begging of the storm earlier this week. Effectively our snowpack has doubled in that time. Our test results were as follows: ECPTX, STH. We also did some ski cuts along some wind drifted pockets with no response. Overall we found that it was very stable!
