Quick report

Cracking
widespread

15" observed at the red chair @ 10:00am, 4/16. Observed both a 1' wind slabs, west facing on the ridge (8500', D1), and a 1' storm slab on the top portion of Bridger Gully (8520', D2). The D2 slab was soft and collapsed quickly. After skiing around the crown, the debris appeared in a dry loose form that ran down the gully face into three bears. A couple of isolated cracks were observed on the top of the ridge, while 20' cracks were observed within the top portion of the gully. Cracking was not observed on the central face. Ridge trail visibility was not great, however, wind was minimal (<5mph). It was snowing pretty hard when our party first arrived but decreased as we approached the ridge.
