Quick report

Went up to Texas meadows from Brackett Creek trailhead. Saw some roller balls on S facing slopes ~7500'. The snow surface was variable and there was melting of the surface on E facing terrain 7000'-7500' causing a lot of glopping on our skins. We dug on NW & N aspects at 7800'. In NW pit, got CT8 RP 15cm down and CT11 RP 20cm down both below crusts on 1mm facets. Height of snow was 115. I didn't do a full hardness profile but there was softer snow towards the bottom of the snowpack, with harder snow in the upper half. My ski partner got ECTN 11 below a crust in the N facing pit.
