Observation: Ogden Mountains

Snow Safety work for Monument Snowcat skiing. Purpose of pit was to locate and investigate reactivity and depth of our recently active PWL FC buried on January 22nd within our operating zone. It was not found in this sheltered, forested location. It seems to be very isolated in the North Ogden Mountains at this time. On the other hand, much of the colder ambient air temperatures in this particular zone have given way to large temperature gradients and therefore faceting within the upper 60cm of the snowpack.
