Quick report
We stopped by Apgar to scan the mountains surrounding Lake McDonald and the Garden Wall for recent avalanche activity.
- Multiple loose wet slides noted on NW-W-SW slopes. We did not have a good view of the other aspects. These were a mix of D1.5 and D2.
- We did not notice any slab avalanches, although we were viewing mountains miles away and certainly could have missed a few.
- Overall, avalanche activity associated with the recent warm and wet storm was underwhelming on the terrain we could see.
