Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
SW windward aspects exposed to the valley were scraped and compacted into thin slabs that cracked under foot while skinning. Leeward aspects received a lot of transported snow but provided stable riding with small amounts of dry sluff. Pit dug on NE aspect at 7000' revealed a visible but soft crust 20cm beneath the surface that seems to be assimilating nicely. 10cm thick, knife hard crust starting 60cm down. Total snowpack depth was 155cm. Snow from 0730-1030 with some heavy morning SW winds.
