Quick report
The upper snowpack is undergoing a rapid and significant change. Above freezing temperatures on Thompson Pass created significant settlement of the new snow creating top heavy storm slabs, that had moved towards wet slab characteristics below 3000'. Wet loose natural activity was visible on all aspects below 3000'.
Wet loose activity was observed on all elevations on the drive up. Several wet slab avalanches were observed in the Billy mitchell lowers that included the new snow.Weather

Snowpack
At the trailhead(~2400') to Catchers Mitt ~12 inches of moist-wet snow was observed at the surface with dry snow beneath. The penetration of warm temperatures into the upper snowpack slowly decreased as elevation increased. At ~4000' the moist snow was confined to the top 3-4 inches of snow with dry snow beneath.
