Quick report
Skied gastineau to sheep today for some cardio. The north shoulder of gastineau actually skied pretty well but sheep was firmer and more textured as expected. Wind was light but had hammered the whole area over the last few days so between that and the sun crust only in isolated patches could I punch my pole basket below the surface, and even then only an inch or two. No hollow feelings or other signs of instability. Ski crampons were useful. The exit gully goes all the way to the creek and Percy is mostly skiable to granite turn off. Icy gulch exit looks thinner.
