Quick report

Toured east facing Todd from 830-11a. Obscured->overcast, winds 5-10 from the W. Forecast precip arrived earlier than expected, snowing about 1”/hr low density around 830, tailing off at 10. New snow since yesterday 3-4” very low density. No wind transport was occurring except right at ridge top. Kicked the usual small cornices at Todd and produced only short running sluffs, no cohesion or propagation. Hand pits with 35-40cm fist becoming 4f- right side up snow above sun/rain crust. In spots, there was a slight density inversion with a few mm of low density snow just above the crust. Without slab formation and with little load this was nonreactive. Overall observed stability was good. We skied avalanche terrain without observed instabilities. Riding conditions were good to great.
