Quick report. Toured W Porter to Gary's Gully, out Mill B North via fall line with a trip up the Waldo. Below 8k' snow surface was damp vs rimed on all aspects. Winds had loaded E-NW aspects but transported snow was well bonded to old snow with no instability observed. Best skiing was on S aspects above 8k' where the underlying crust is supportable and riding fast and fun. Northerly aspects have new snow overlying a combination of punchy damp snow and mid-storm sun/rime crust which is unsupportable.

Danger was moderate for wet loose in steep terrain below 8k', otherwise low. Anticipate a few cold nights could produce a fairly welded pack with developing instability on S facing before the coming storm if S facing snow facets above the existing crust. Thus continues our weird souther instabilities. Turns out bed surface matters.
