Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
6-8” storm snow, moderate to strong NW winds at ridgeline but minimal snow still available for transport in the alpine. New wind slab development seemed isolated to immediate lee and cross-loaded slopes. Test slopes produced minor cracking up to 1m in the alpine and no results BTL. Snow surfaces stayed dry near and above tree line. A bit surprised not to observe more natural avalanches with new snow and wind given how active last week’s cycle was. Avoided steep roll-overs, shallow areas and freshly loaded slopes.

Only 1 potentially new avalanche observed despite good visibility. Looked like a large cornice fell and triggered a persistent slab. Debris looked fresher than the one in Baldy 2 days ago.
