Quick report
Widespread 3-5mm surface hoar was found on upper elevations of Slide Mtn this morning. SH was only present in isolated areas below 8800'. We dug snow profiles on NE aspect at 8300' in the upper Winter's creek drainage. Upper snowpack consisted of settled storm snow on top of a MFcr of varying supportability. Under this crust were well developed facets. No signs of propagation in snowpack tests, however this upper snowpack structure could become problematic with incoming weather this weekend.
Avalanche
observed a small wet loose on steep E face of Fireplug
