Frequent sounds of avalanche activity mid day, including whumphing on N aspect around 5,100 ft. Rollerballs at elevations up to 5,520 ft throughout day. Isolated shooting cracks near summit of Peak 5557 on SW aspect around 5,520 ft. Snow accumulation through out day at ~5,000 ft and above.
Avalanche
Found recent wet-loose point release on NW aspect of Yellow Aster Butte at 5,100 feet. Seemed to have occurred in the morning after new snow from previous night. Slide terminated around ~4,700 ft. Dropped down to what seemed to be the EFC. D1 with estimated width of 20 ft
