Snowpack
Very large impressive surface hoar in the parking lot to snow pit elevations. Below the surface hoar, 10-20 cm of facets on top of a crust. Sunburst snow pits summary 1260ft, NW aspect, 15deg slope Surface hoar up to 1.5cm on top of 30cm of F hard facets, next layer down is 30cm of P hard melt freeze, next is 15cm of 4F rounds then P hard crusts to the ground. HS 135cm. Multiple ECTX and CTN. Tin Can backdoor pits summary 2890ft, Sw aspect, 20 deg slope Generally right side up snowpack, CT27Q3down19cm, ECTN18down19cm at the interface between the near surface facets and the layer beneath. HS 255cm. Center Ridge pits summary 1270ft, S aspect, 12deg slope 2cm surface hoar on top of 30cm of F hard facets, the next layer down is a 15cm P hard crust, with 15cm of 4F- rounds below it. Various crusts to ground under these layers. HS 135cm. Multiple ECTX and CTN. STEdown30cm at the NSF/crust interface.
