6” of new snow in Smith Fork parking area quickly rose to 12” plus lots of wind evidence as you approached Poker Flats and beyond. Widespread cracking and soft slab releases on steep micro features likes gullies and ravine sides. Upper elevations not observed. Widespread and frequent cracking; almost every small steep micro feature was reactive with soft slab releases.
