Quick report
Skied Sonora peak today. Found the snow at the summit to be cold and still dry on NE, N, NW aspects. E and all solar slopes were in the early stages of melt/freeze corn cycle. Snow was softening on E/SE slopes below 11200’ around 1300. True corn was observed at 10600’ down to 9800’. Below 9800’ was a mix between 5-10cm saturated snow and frozen sections in the shade. Below 9500’ in the trees was softened supportable snow. Light winds today with well above freezing temps at 11500’.
