60 cm snow at MGRS grid 11SKC 8139 5410 1-2cm ice crust top layer, soft powder underneath. Good early morning skiing, top layer thaws and freezes and ices over as the day progresses due to 50° temps during the day. As we were skiing fractures were propagating outward on the top layer, but snow depth was extremely shallow. Could pose a large risk as the season progresses and we get more snow.
