Quick report

Departed from alpental ski area base. Traveled the "low" skin track up the valley. Multiple holes and hazards still exist. Observed "punchy" surface snow, with surface crust up to 3.7k ft elev. Dug a pit at 3.8k ft above and NE of Source Lake. Clear crusts and interfaces observed. Tests yielded CT5 @25cm down, CT15 @ 35cm down, CT23 @ 50 cm down. ECT23 @ 25 cm down with Q2 shear, did not propagate entire column. Retured down the Alpental BC out track. Very challenging ski being apparent first descent of the day.

Avalanche

Recent debris observed. Appeared to be wet - loose shedding from cliff bands. North facing aspects, around 3.5k ft elevation. Mushroom Coulior zone.
