Quick report
Overall snow pack was quite stable. Lots of convex rollers, but in my couple tests where they were lower angle and the run out was good, they didn’t react. Snow was incredibly wet and heavy at all elevations and aspects. I set off some roller balls and pinwheels on the descent but none that went far or would’ve caused injuries. Attached photos show current snowpack levels, and summit of Ruby with evidence of prior wind loading on the ridge where most skiers drop in.
Avalanche
Observed pinwheels coming off the cliffs below Ruby summit (not on route) between 11am-12pm. They’d pick up speed and snow but stop once the slope mellowed out.
