Quick report
Observed no cracking or whumpfing. Consistent S1 snowfall throughout the day accompanied by light south winds with frequent moderate gusts. More wind and snow than expected. Visibility remained restricted most of the day to our zone, enchanted forest, with some breaks into the boulderfield. Riding conditions were excellent and improved throughout the day with seemingly little settlement. Fluffy, fast, and fun.
Avalanche
Our party triggered two D1 soft slab avalanches on the steep convex rollovers in the lower half of enchanted forest (south aspect, 4,600 - 4,800 ft) during our second descent of the run around 1 PM. Both within new snow, 10-15 cm crowns (crown difficult to see in photo). Observed a D1 avalanche in the same zone with a 20-40cm crown that was probably triggered earlier in the day by another party given the evidence of a track (photo with obvious crown)
