Skied a west south west aspect. We heard collapsing in a few lower angle locations. Toured back to the top. Heard more collapsing and cracking. Nothing coped but the snowpack had been wind effect and stiffened which did not give us a lot of confidence climbing up slopes near 30 degrees or with slopes steeper above us. At one point we changed our route to completely avoid wind loaded slopes around 30 degrees. Most observations of the instability were observed at treeline. Not above or below.
