Quick report

We observed a shallow snowpack with poor structure. Well developed basal facets/depth hoar under harder surface snow. In many areas the surface snow is faceting out, and becoming less supportable. In wind loaded areas with thicker slabs over the basal facets, we found high strength, and low propagation propensity, albeit with high variability in our results. We observed no recent avalanches, shooting cracks, or collapsing. A few areas had fresher soft windslabs with low reactivity. In all areas we travelled the fresh windslabs was of insignificant size.
