Yesterday's cold front brought some clouds, but no new snow for the Bear River Range. There is some snow in upper elevation north facing and shady terrain, but after a remarkably dry first half of November it's pretty shallow and rocky in most areas.

Where there is still October snow, it's either crusty or rotten, very loose and sugary (faceted snow).

Snowpack

No snow remains on sunny slopes.  In upper elevation north facing terrain, snow depth varies from about 8" to 1.5' deep.  The snow in deeper areas is loose, sugary, and faceted.  In most areas, a sun-crust of varying thickness caps the loose snow.
