Quick report
I dug a snow pit at 5030’, southern aspect, just below the start zone of Robinson’s Neighborhood. I found a 50 cm deep slab that was F hard, other than the bottom 5cm, which were 4F. This was sitting on top of the January 10 ice crust. Extended column test resulted in ECTX. The snow by the pit was very supportive, but conditions varied even in just a fifty meter walk, finding snow where I would sink down to the top of my boot, as well as areas that were scoured down to the rain crust layer. Hand sheer tests were stubborn and not planar in this area. There was no cracking in any of the snow I walked over. I was hoping to be able to get a better look around, but visibility was poor. There was only light and inconsistent wind loading from what I was able to see.
