Quick report
It was raining at the hyalite trailhead this morning. We thought it would probably stop, it didn’t. We got rained on until about 8,000’. Above that there was 2-3” of new dense snow. On the south face of divide peak we observed two sun crusts in the upper 35cm with a layer of small facets in between, ECTx in the top 40cm. Stubbornly reactive windslabs up at the ridgeline. Precipitation did finally stop around 1pm and we didn’t have to ski out in the rain.
