Cracking, whumpfing, small slides, big slides, new slides, and old slides... We saw (and heard) it all today. Went out knowing it would be spicy and it didn't disappoint. We travelled cautiously making the most of small terrain features and exposing only 1 person at a time on or near anything remotely capable of moving. Expansive slide remote triggered from a protected flat area several hundred feet down slope a strong reminder to know what's above and below at all times. Light snow all day and downright frigid. This is the most reactive snowpack I've seen in this region in a long time. Be careful out there.

Remote triggered this expansive 1200'+ wide 2-3' deep slab from an area several hundred feet down slope and protected by a ridge lookers right. It wrapped around 2 ridges and initially picked up speed quickly, but lost steam just a quick once encountering slightly gentler slope angles and trees/bushes lower down.
