Went out to explore some lower elevations in the Unitas today. Stayed below 8000 feet all day. Dug quick pits to the ground several times on various aspects NW- N-NE avg snow depth was 60cm with the majority of the snow pack being faceted snow. I did find a 1/4 inch thick crust 30cm down on the N and NE aspects. Found a few good turns on a sheltered NE aspect between 7700-7200. At this elevation stumps, rock, etc are still play
