Dug a pit at 9700’, E aspect. This area likely didn’t experience much wind due to dense trees just west of pit location. HS 110cm. Found preserved layer of surface hoar 25cm down. CT2 SC, ECTN3 both down 25cm on SH. Basal facets were moist, able to make a snowball with them.
