Quick report

Though fairly continuous snow coverage exists above 9,000 feet (particularly as you move deeper into the range and away from valleys), the snowpack remains shallow, which means the majority of this snow has been changing drastically with the dry spells. The West-North-East half of the compass held a variety of crusts and facets, while southerly aspects consisted of hard melt-freeze crust almost exclusively.

Noted one older avalanche on a W aspect around 9,400 feet. Even with so little snow cover, this shows that the structure is not setting up well.

I'm hoping the next storm comes in with wind, as surface hoar has been noted in every forecast zone. I found it today up to 9,800 feet and on every aspect.
