Seattle Creek Headwall and Warmup Bowl

There were four human triggered avalanches that we know of from today in the Seattle Ck Drainage:

Seattle Headwall x2:
We had a report of a large avalanche on the Seattle Ck Headwall around noon. Shortly after this we were able to ride over to that slope to get a look at it and make sure everyone was OK. This avalanche was reported to be snowmachine triggered while rider was ascending, rider not caught. The slide sympathetically triggered another avalanche to the looker's right (can be seen in the photos). This avalanche appeared to fail on the Valentine's Day buried surface hoar. Avalanche was around 150' wide, 2-3' deep, and ran around 200' vertical. 

Warmup Bowl x2:
There was also a fresh avalanche seen on the northwest aspect of Warmup Bowl. This slab was reported to have been triggered remotely by a snowmachiner. It was around 50' wide and 2.5' deep and pulled up into low angle terrain near the ridge, as low as 18 degrees. It failed on the Valentine's Day buried surface hoar. Photos below. In the photo of the crown you can see a small slab that was triggered by a skier/boarder off the peak in the background. 

As far as we know, no one was caught or injured in these avalanches. Another active day in the Seattle Ck drainage.
