Quick report

Cracking
isolated

Dug several pits on NW aspects between 3200 and 3400 ft several hundred yards away from each other ECTP 14 SC ECTP 15 SC ECTP 16 SC Collapsing layer was mid-pack collapse 35-55 cm from the ground - snow depth was 58-95 cm on these aspects Ran Saw test - PST 35/100 SC - also on NW aspect ~3340 ft on a 29 degree slope. Multiple hand pits on same slope failed on isolation Shallow quick (~40 cm) pit on N aspect (ER side of saddle) was highly wind affected and reactive to ground on isolation. 2-3 inches of new snow on several inches of crust. Shooting cracks ~1 ski length but no specific collapsing or wumphing. Several isolated wind slabs with breakable/semi-breakable crust. Snowpits yielded a persistent weak layer that consistently failed on extended column tests.
