We were skinning up towards a chute just east of TJ chute. Aspect: N. Elevation 10,700. We just stopped and transitioned to booting. The snow on the way up felt slightly wind affected but still F soft. We didn’t see or feel any wind slabs on the slope. Our first step off the little platform we made we heard and felt a huge boom that was pretty alarming and seemed like a large area of the slope had some kind of settling going on. We didn’t see any signs of anything after and nothing else happened but we stopped transitioned and rode down.
