Observation: Mill D North

ECT showed super stable snow pack for now, couldn't get it to slide, fracture, or propagate at all on northwest aspect. Noticed a really icy and poor snow layer on the surface. As expected with all the cold dry temperatures and no new snow, surface hoar has formed and will probably cause problems with the new snow on the way. Super icy, doesn't look good for future Avy conditions, will probably be at least a problem/persistent weak layer moving forward. Riding conditions varied, in the sheltered areas there were pockets of powder and light, cold, fluffy snow. Sun baked areas had really bad punch crust.
