Toured to Dickey creek which had seen a lot of effects from the wind and the warming, even early in the AM. By 11am, the snow was concrete down low and on anywhere exposed to the sun. Non polar aspects had less warming, but were pretty blasted by the wind. Bailed on intended objective due to conditions and instead climbed to 7200 ft and dug a pit on a NW facing aspect. I was able to get a hard slab to release with moderate force. That was enough to encourage more conservative options
