Toured up the knob to see if we could find soft snow. Conditions felt favorable on the NW aspect over the Southern aspects. Dug a pit @ 2560' and 336 degrees NW. Our main concern was the March 6th MFcr persistent weak layer about 90cm down. After an ECTN4 and CT28 with the only results being 20-40cm down from snow surface, we could only isolate the weak layer with a shovel shear test. Skied a NE aspect down to the quarry, and the snow was surprisingly great!
