Quick report
Quick lunchtime lap covering the 4th bowl and Abbey Lane zones on Snodgrass. Clear, calm day, largely below freezing with just a touch of melting noted in surface snow facing the sun near the road. Snowpack was 10-40cm with a nearly supportable 1-2cm crust over facets. Isolated pockets of well-protected and consistently shaded snow made for 2-3 pleasant turns amongst the otherwise forgettable skiing conditions. Still nice to get some sun and check the first ski of the season.
