Skied Happy Glades from Oh Be Joyful, experienced no signs of instability while touring up and through the glades until reaching the ridge at about 10,900. A north wind around 15 mph picked up here and was transporting snow to lee slopes, windslab ranged for 1-8 inches thick . No significant wind loading was observed on the East Facing glades, where new snow ranged from 4-6 inches. The skiing was great though some steeper pitches produced inconsequential slough. Hand shear tests took a bit of force to produce results, but were failing near the base of pack on large facets. Cold toes were had by all!
