Quick report

We skinned out on a small test slope that looked wind affected to check reactivity. Part of the slope remote triggered from about 50 ft away on a north wind loaded slope. A soft storm slab of about 6 inches in depth ran. No deeper layers were affected. High winds all day and damp snow fell all day. Swirling winds with loading on multiple aspects. No cracking or whimpers otherwise observed. Skied the next day with clearer conditions and observed small storm slabs that broke during the storm but did not propagate to lower layers. These small natural slides had the new lighter snow from the previous night on top of them indicating they slid during the heavier loading event.

Avalanche
