Elephants Back

Skied Elephants Hump from Red Lake around 730am. No signs of instability observed in the zone which we skied. Very cold (-4F throughout the hike). No new snow since yesterday, but fairly gusty winds observed near the summit of Elephants Hump. Lots of spindrift visible on all area peaks. Some surface hoar observed on exposed ridges, but skeptical that it will survive the wind. This observation includes more photos of the Elephants Back avalanche from Jan 6 (more details here).
