Blackbird AIARE 1. Traveled from Heather Meadows (4100') to Artists Point (5200'). Observed inverted temperatures, reaching 40+ degrees f on ridgelines. 3-4" of powder on north aspects. Old wind affected areas at higher elevations with no current activity. Surface hoar in shaded areas. Avalanche debris of loose wet type (D1) observed on solar aspect of Table Mountain. Travelled cautiously and did not observe any unstable slopes.
