Quick report

- specific
I found low density surface snow, with some wind slab development. Two main crust/weak layers stood out, both in the top 1.5ft of snow. I was surprised at how weak the decomposed crust from the Solstice had become at my profile location. It's somewhat rare to get a crust to break down to be F hardness in this part of the Cascades. Snowpack tests showed potential for propagation, so these layers will be at the top of my mind as more snow adds up.
Decent length shooting cracks in slightly wind-affected snow. Minor cracking in non-wind-affected snow.Weather

Snowpack
Found about 8" of snow over the 12/30 Crust, 14" over the Solstice Crust. Newer snow was low density and had been drifted by wind on most open slopes. I was surprised by how weak the Solstice Crust was here, at F hardness.
Tilt tests sometimes failed at the 12/30 interface, and when they did they were very clean and planar. ECTP 16, and PST 35/100 (end) in the Solstice crust down 14".
