Quick report

Toured up Brundage to get a feel for the coverage and conditions-huge thank you to Brundage for allowing uphill traffic! Be sure to check Brundage’s snow report for current uphill access information. Found generally thin early season coverage with many obstacles and lurking sharks. About 6 inches of settled snow at the base and upwards of 2 feet at the top. Supportive Veterans Day crust below newest 6 inches. Dug a quick pit on an eastern aspect at 7600’-found 65 cms of snow with the Veterans Day crust at 40 cms. Entire column of snow broke when attempting to isolate. But snow near ground wasn’t well developed facets. Was able to initiate loose snow sluffs in steeper terrain on roll overs, this ran on the Veterans Day crust. We also noted wind drifts on western aspects near the ridge line. Due to thin early season conditions, stayed in open terrain that had the most snow and moderate slope angles.
