Quick report
Yesterday we saw dry loose and wet loose avalanches happening so we expected that again today based on warming trend but we saw no signs of either one through 3pm. We were mostly in the middle elevation band, so not able to observe the wind problem. 4” of recent settled snow on a 1” crust layer for most of the day including the north facing chutes off artist. Recent snow was barely covering lots of old, solid avy debris at the bottom third of Martha’s chute so our highest risk to safety today was injury from hitting that old debris while skiing down.
